Take the Risk - Embrace the Change!

WOW! It's been a crazy, turbulent and emotional few weeks. My husband and I got an offer accepted on a house ... on the Isle of Wight!! We've always wanted to live by the sea and seemingly not content with just heading to the coast we've now gone and bought a house on an ISLAND (I had vetoed the island he saw off the west coast of Scotland as going a little too far!). I've given up my full time marketing job to focus on yoga and now I'm sitting in my new home, on my laptop, on an ISLAND. I can't quite believe we are here.

I think a few words that sum up this whole experience include scary, emotional, excited, crazy and  risky but the one I'm focusing on the most is EXCITED. Change is never easy, but without it we can never move forward so it is necessary. Looking back at all the changes I have made in my life so far I can honestly say they have (rather fortunately!) worked out for the best so here's to hoping that continues.

I feel incredibly lucky to be in a position where I can do this and build my life in this way. I totally believe that it's partly down to the power of yoga that I've got here. It's shown me what I can achieve when I put my mind to it and has given me confidence to really believe that I can do this and make it happen, and not to be afraid of failing.  From starting my own business full time, to building a yoga studio that I've dreamed about and living life a little more on my own time rather than round a 9-5 time, I've no doubt this is going to be hard at times, it's going to get crazy busy (I hope), there will be amazing days and horrible days and I would be silly if I was sitting here thinking it was going to be an easy ride, but I honestly just can't wait for this journey.

I'm not suggesting that everyone should quit their jobs and move to an island, BUT you never know, something here may just inspire you to embrace the change or take the risk that you've been putting off for so long. I'm learning it's totally ok to be afraid, but also learning that if you don't ever take the leap of faith then you'll never know.

I still can't quite believe I've done it! Sneak peak of the house below...
